What is up with Mrs. Reed? by Aubrie

Why does Jane's aunt treat her so badly? Is there something deeper that makes Mrs. Reed resent Jane so much?

    I think that Jane's parents were killed by her relatives. Also, her relatives probably inherited lots of money from her parents and are keeping it from Jane for themselves. They treat her so meanly so she doesn't find out about the money and that she'll want to leave so they can legally have the money endowed to Jane left by her parents.
