"In Our Time" - Paxton Faz

Pros
Gives a lot of info to help understand Jane Eyre.
Also mentions how Bronte's life affected the writing of the book.
Gives a good explanation of the history that went into the book.
Brought some topics to light for the papers that we are writing

Cons
Not going to lie, it was really boring. I found myself spacing off multiple times while listening.
The speakers got off track fairly easily. One minute they would be talking about Jane Eyre, the next they would go off on a tangent that was a bit hard to follow
I felt like they were teaching more than they were talking. It felt like a lesson more than just people talking.

What I found interesting:

Jane Eyre has been discussed to have drawn parallels to Bronte's life, but after listening to this podcast, it helps single out those scenarios in which this happens. I'm a bit jealous of the people that had the autobiography paper, as this really seems like it would be a good source.

Also, they mention a lot of how people look. This prefaces how Jane feels about herself - plain - and compares to how she feels what others around her are like. In seeing these people's clothing, it reminds Jane of how plain she actually is. And since we know that Jane is a reflection of Bronte, we can assume that Bronte felt the same way about herself. She saw all of these people doing these amazing things, while she wrote stories. Bronte didn't think she was special, and because of that, she made Jane feel like she wasn't, either.
