The Reeds all hate Jane and I don't get why with how I am with my family, it just seems wrong the way they treat her. So why do they really hate her? Is it because of her parents?
Because when Mr. Reed died, he made Mrs. Reed promise to care for Jane. She loved Mr. Reed but has no love for Jane, so she keeps this promise to him but she just can't be like a mother to Jane
I think they dislike her so much because she's not truly a part of their family. She's an outsider, and an orphan, and they don't usually see eye to eye with her.
The Reeds hate Jane because they were so used to their happy family and when Mr. Reed died, their happy family lost the father. They probably connect Jane with Mr. Reed's death.
