Will Jane's past catch up with her eventually and affect her future relationships? Lillie Bowman

Jane has had a rough past life. She grew up with the Reeds being cruel to her. This could give her some insecurities later in life. She seems fine and well and content with the new chapters of her life. But could her past and the neglect and hardships she's been through affect her relationship with Mr. Rochester or cause some emotional instability.

  1. Yes, I believe that at some point the horrors of Jane's past will catch up to her and she will let that influence how she acts toward males and her male relationships.

    1. Jane seems as though she has already put the past behind her. I think her rough past has molded her into a stronger woman, and she will be able to have a successful relationship with Mr. Rochester.
