Why did Bronte decide to make Adele speak French? -Tyler Pester
It would've been much easier for Bronte to have Adele speak English instead of French. Why then, did Bronte make it so much more challenging for herself to have Adele speak French? When Jane was introduced to Adele, Jane felt an instant connection to Adele. Bronte decided to have Adele speak French because, since Jane is now able to speak French so well, the two have more alike and grow their relationship. Adele speaking French is just another reason that Jane feels so connected to Adele.

I think it's so Adele needs some one to really help her see whats going on. For the first time in her life Jane is needed. Jane is finally wanted by people who also need her. Also it's another relationship where someone will like Jane for Jane and all that she does.
